Our Story

The Coburg Cow Shop was created by McCalla Hanckel to honor and carry on her family's legacy. Her family started Coburg Dairy in 1920, and from the moment McCalla was born, it's been close to her heart. She grew up learning about the milk process and going to the plant with her dad, John Hanckel, and grandpa, "Big" Frank Hanckel Jr. Those experiences sparked her deep love for agriculture and inspired her to study Animal and Veterinary Sciences at Clemson University.

Driven by a desire to the memories of Coburg Dairy alive, McCalla created The Coburg Cow Shop —a place that celebrates tradition, hard work, and the joy that comes from a legacy built with care.
